LIZ KANTOR is a Boston-based music director, conductor, composer, orchestrator, and accompanist. After playing piano since the age of 3, Liz began music directing for theatre her freshman year of college. Her many years acting and performing herself have shaped how she interacts with actors, creatives, and technicians. She has had the pleasure of working with industry professionals such as Tom Kitt, Ryan Scott Oliver, Brian Lowdermilk, and Laurence O'Keefe.
Liz recently finished her education at Harvard University, where she received a B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in English. Outside of her work in theatre, Liz does research in a Parkinson's Disease lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital and plays keyboard for New Dakotas, a Boston-based indie-folk-pop band. She is also extremely passionate about gender parity in theatre, and focuses much of her work towards creating spaces for women to make art.
